The talk includes: the initial concept of the Canal, the political fight to make it a reality, the construction of this amazing civil engineering feat, and its effect on the economy of Buffalo as it became one of the largest inland ports in the world.  Join us August 1st as we explore this impressive part of Buffalo’s history with Debra Hall-Stonish from “Explore Buffalo.”

The doors open at 5:30, and the presentation starts at 6:30.  There will be a brief question and answer period following.  Pizza and refreshments available for purchase.
